As I pried myself out of bed at on Saturday morning, I began to wonder if it was even worth it. I was going to watch my friend compete in the Top Gun competition in Frankenmuth; we had to leave Caro by to be there by . We arrived right on time and made our way to the arena where it was being held. At all the contestants took their places and the competition began. It was set up just like jeopardy, the four contestants could buzz in and answer the questions, and whoever ended up with the most points was the winner. They all started off strong but soon Justin was in the lead by six hundred. He kept the lead for the rest of the game and took first place with 1900 points. Justin won a $3000 scholarship to the school of his choice and a trophy he would display proudly. I was very happy and proud of him for his achievement.
After we finished taking pictures, Justin and I went to walk around and look at the massive display of cars. We came upon one car that we both loved, which is a rare occasion for us. It was a glimmering blue Chevy pick-up truck that the owner had restored and customized. He had a plexiglass bottom installed in the bed of the truck so you could see all the mechanics under the truck. This was by far my favorite vehicle at the car show and I really enjoyed hearing about how it was redone. Looking back I sure am glad I got out of bed so early and went. It was defiantly worth it.
AWESOME! Didn't even know this was going on...how great to be able to witness your friend winning something so BIG!
